The front of our house is now marred by a big ugly pipe put across to fix our plumbing problems. We're thinking about whether we should just paint it yellow or take this as an opportunity for some trompe l'oeil work, inspired by my talented sister. For example, we could paint vines around it. I also considered (but rejected) the idea of making the pipes look like a Habitrail with cute critters inside.
